What makes high school so memorable is the people you meet and being part of a school community outside of classes. Clubs are a great way to see teachers in a different light, work with people of shared interests and meet new people.
Here's the 2025-2026 offering of clubs.

GSA/QSA
Thursdays @ lunch Rm 216

Central Memorial students began a Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) in June of 2010. Over the past few years, we have coordinated events such as a the Alberta Provincial GSA Network Conference, Day of Silence, Anti-Bullying Week, Transgender Day of Remembrance, and have raised funds in support of Alpha House Calgary.
We would like to invite any students who are interested in becoming part of the GSA to join us. The goals of our group are to celebrate diversity, to discuss and advocate for human rights, organize awareness campaigns, and to provide a safe place in our school.
Improv Club
Wednesdays @ lunch Rm 171B

Starting in October each year, the CMHS Improv Club meets on Wednesdays at lunch for games, training, and improvised scene development. This club is a great way to meet new people! If teams are formed in the second semester, Central enters to compete in the annual Loose Moose High School Improv Tournament, performing alongside other high school improv teams for the chance to win the one and only, Stan Lee Cup!
Leadership
Tuesdays & Thursdays @ lunch Rm 234
Advisors: Ms Oppenheim & Ms Farrell
Student Leadership is a fantastic way of connecting with the school, creating fun and meaningful events throughout the school year, and contributing to the communities outside of the school (locally, nationally and internationally). Some of our big events for the school year are: Rams Collective (an artisan market that supports student artists as well as a local cause), Battle of the Rams (supporting student musicians), and various student and staff led initiatives.
We welcome new members and are excited to see our returning students!!!

High School Model United Nations (UN) is a club that provides students with an opportunity to participate in UN simulations with other high school students from across the province.
