Good Evening Parents, Caregivers, Students and Guardians,

As we start to move into Spring which brings longer days and warmer weather, there is so much to celebrate and support within our school community. Playoffs have begun in basketball, and we are thrilled to watch our teams compete in these final weeks of the season. The dedication, teamwork, and spirit they bring to every game is truly inspiring. Through competition and collaboration, our student-athletes continue to develop important life skills like leadership, communication, and the ability to work toward a common goal. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and sportsmanship.

We also want to wish the best of luck to all our wrestlers competing in the City Championship tournament today. Wrestling, like all individual sports, draws out and strengthens different but equally valuable qualities — perseverance, independence, and resilience. These athletes have put in countless hours of practice and preparation, and we know they will represent Central Memorial High School with skill and determination.

Today, we are delighted to host CBE Sings, welcoming talented choral groups from high schools across the Calgary Board of Education. It is a pleasure to see so many students sharing their musical gifts and creating such a beautiful sense of community through song. A huge thank you to our incredible culinary program, whose students continue to spoil us with their delicious creations — providing food for all the performers and making this event even more special.

Finally, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing CPVAF parents for treating our staff to an outstanding breakfast. The care and generosity our parent community shows throughout the year means so much to us, and we truly appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness behind every treat and gesture of support.

Thank you for your continued encouragement and involvement in our school. Together, we make Central Memorial a place of excellence, creativity, and connection.

Have a great weekend.

Anne Kromm Principal
