Good Evening CMHS Parents, Caregivers, Students and Guardians
What a great week we have had with our students! It has been wonderful to reconnect with returning students and to meet so many of our new students.
I would especially like to thank the parents of our new Grade 10 students. I can already tell what an amazing group they are. In fact, this is the first time in four years that I haven’t had to address any behaviour concerns during our opening assembly. That speaks volumes about the guidance and values instilled at home, and I look forward to meeting you in person. If I don’t get the chance to thank you individually, please take this note as my sincere appreciation for giving us such a fantastic group to work with.
A quick reminder that our first School Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m. All parents are welcome, and your involvement makes a real difference in shaping our school community.
As a school, we are committed to providing wraparound supports for all of our students.
A key part of this is helping them build resilience—learning how to recover from challenges and building confidence in their ability to overcome adversity.
Finally, fall sports are now underway, and I look forward to cheering on our athletes as they represent our school with pride.
